Joe Walsh joined ProjectQA as a managing member in 2006. Joe has extensive and broad experience in construction, with more than 35 years of practice as an attorney in the construction, real estate, real estate development and project finance areas. Mr. Walsh’s career has focused on providing legal advice to developers, owners, general contractors, various subcontractors, steel fabricators and lenders in connection with all phases of construction and construction financing on various types of construction projects. Mr. Walsh has served as General Counsel and Executive Vice President of one of the largest, structural steel fabricators in the Midwest; as General Counsel of a major real estate developer; and as President and General Counsel of a manufacturer of molded pulp packaging. He has been directly involved in and had responsibility for all aspects of the site acquisition, planning, design, financing and construction of office buildings, large manufacturing plants, commercial developments and condominium projects. He has also acted as Underwriter’s Counsel, with primary due diligence responsibility, for national investment banking firms on numerous bond issues, most of which involved construction projects. Mr. Walsh is a licensed attorney in Missouri and received his Juris Doctorate at St. Louis University School of Law. He has been a speaker at several Missouri Bar Association programs on construction and construction financing. Mr. Walsh is a member of the Missouri Bar Association, where he serves on the Construction Law Committee, and of the American Bar Association, where he serves on the Real Property, Probate & Trust Committee and is a member of the ABA’s Forum on the Construction Industry.
